It has been a short but very welcome break from the snow and I’ve been able to relax in the sun, enjoy some mountain biking as well as build on my fitness.
Now it’s time again to get all my gear sorted, skis sharp and bags packed – ready for the Northern Hemisphere season. Departure date rapidly approaches when I fly into Denver, Colorado ready to start training at Copper Mountain on the 5th November where I will meet up with my coach, Guenther Birgmann and team from Sugar Bowl Academy. We will be based in the area for approximately six weeks for training and the first races of the season.
The first week back on snow training will be followed by a TERP camp (Technical Event Race Preparation) which is part of the National Development System for top US athletes in preparation for the coming NorAm races.
Looking forward to a great season – will keep you posted!
